Sunday Dec 5

orienteering 1:43:00 [4]

The Trot at Camp Naish. I had a decent race. Platt won in about 88 minutes (I was 103). I finished 4th, a bit over a minute behind Eric Buckley (damn, he gained on me in the lifetime rankings). Lots of fun, really nice course and good map. I finished before the rain got really heavy. Only problems were a couple of hard falls (right shoulder again) and a stick in the eye. Great event, I'm looking forward to next year's Trot already.

Saturday Dec 4

running 1:00:00 [2]
Putting out and picking up controls at Tall Oaks for the annual Kansas Champs. Nice day.

Thursday Dec 2

cycling 30:00 [1]
The plan was to do a short (sprint?) night O' at SMP. I charged my lamp. I printed the map. I was ready. But I forgot to bring my contact lenses to work. I don't mind running day O' with glasses but I don't really like night O' with glasses (they don't fit as well with the headlamp). I decided it was a sign to take it easy and rest my legs for this weekend. So I did some biking on the trainer while watching a TDF tape.

Tuesday Nov 30

running 1:20:00 [2]
Running on the mushy, slushy trails at PNS (with headlamp).
running 10:00 [4]
4 x 3 minutes (with 3 minutes of jogging rest) on the Old Kate trail at PNS. Tired at the end.

Monday Nov 29

cycling 30:00 [1]
Some easy time on the trainer....a perfect warm up before watching the Jayhawks on TV.
