Thursday Jun 7

running 35:00 [2]
At PNS. Interesting weather - heavy, heavy rain nearly the entire time, some low/dark clouds, and some bright sunshine. The rain was really heavy so the trails were wet (over the tops of my shoes in places).

AOWN - the usual deer and turkey and an unusual (first time in PNS) spotting of a snapping turtle.
running 10:00 [4]
Some Old Man Intervals. The slippery, wet trails kept the pace a bit slower than usual.

Wednesday Jun 6

Note
Mowing day.

Tuesday Jun 5

running 30:00 [2]
Legs felt good, but I stopped early.

Sunday Jun 3

running 1:35:00 [2]
Jogging on the river trail in Lawrence. I was worried that the trails would be in terrible shape after the recent flooding. I was pleasantly surprised. The upper trail was mostly normal (but the place where the trail dips down into the low spot near the Mud Creek end was under water). The lower trail was a bit muddy and I turned off it before it got too bad.

At the far end, I chatted with Larry Spray for a few minutes (he was on his new single gear, no suspension, MTB). I also ran with Mary for about 25 minutes. That was cool. She's so much fitter and stronger than she used to be (though she's got a lot of room for improvement left).

AOWN - saw a turkey on the river trail and a bald eagle when we drove across the bridge to get post run fish tacos at La Parilla. The eagle was a big surprise. It dove down from tree height to the water to pull a fish out - very cool to see.
