| I was in Lawrence to pick up Ideree and get him to the airport. So, I got in a short trail jog at Clinton Park. Warm out there. |

| Short jog on the river trails. I felt ok, but 25 minutes was plenty.
I ran with my newest toy (not the IR Thermometer) - I picked up the Forerunner 305 that was on sale at REI last week. I haven't run with a hrm for a long time. I was pleasantly surprised at how low the hr was in the beginning, but disappointed in the steady, gradual climb (despite no increase in pace). Usually that sort of pattern happens when it is really hot or when i'm dehydrated. |

| Jogging on the river trails. I'd expected my legs to feel great, but they didn't. No idea why.
Lots of mtb riders on the trail today. One guy was riding and talking on a cell phone.
The temperature of my right knee climbed throughout the run. Is that normal? Probably. |

| Jogging on the river trail. Some of the time I was chatting with a guy who was also jogging on the trail. He'd done some orienteering as a scout. |
 | running 10:00 [4] | |

| A bit over 10 at an honest effort (as 70/20s). My legs felt pretty good. |

| Easy jogging on the mtb trails at Smithville. I carried the map. I alternated "night dreaming", reading the map, and trying not to step in the muddy spots on the trail.
When I woke up this morning and went outside to get the paper I was shocked. 42 degrees and a strong wind. It felt cold. By the time we got started running it was in the 50s, but still windy. It made for good running weather. |
