| PTOC Stoll Park sprint. Fun and worked hard. The problem was that one control was in the wrong place and I spent almost 4 minutes bashing around in the woods trying to find it. Bummer. But, still a lot of fun.
After the run we hung out for the annual PTOC pot luck (but skipped out when the annual PTOC meeting began). It was a fun to see Fritz, Pete and Madeline. Here is the map and QR: http://okansas.blogspot.com/2008/06/quickroute-fro...
Friday Jun 6 | ||
| running 30:00 [2] | ||
| A short jog - legs felt good. | ||
Thursday Jun 5 | ||
| running 30:00 [2] | ||
| On the river trail. Warm and humid, with strong wind. A few big branches and one tree had already fallen on the trail (and the forecast is for some really strong wind tonight). I saw someone camping in a tent along the trail. I hope they have the sense to move before the storms. | ||
| running 10:00 [4] | ||
| 6 x 400 meters with 50 seconds rest. I increased the rest a bit compared to last week. I was able to hold my pace better than last week. But, the last 400 was uncomfortable., | ||
Wednesday Jun 4 | ||
| Note | ||
| The plan was a 30-40 minute run followed by mowing. But, I left work a bit late and decided that I'd either skip running or mowing. The lawn is deep, so I skipped running. | ||
Monday Jun 2 | ||
| running 25:00 [2] | ||
| Short, slow jogging. My legs felt a bit tired, but it felt good to do a bit of jogging.
1 point. | ||
Sunday Jun 1 | ||
| running 1:55:00 [2] | ||
| Long slow run on the trails at Smithville. The trails were in good shape. The mtb club mows them in the summer, keeping the grass reasonable (and reducing the number of ticks you pick up). I met 3 of the mtbers doing some trail maintenance and chatted a bit. Looks like a lot of work.
Mary and I got to Smithville around 10:30. It was already warm and the temp kept going up. I kept a steady pace but the temp kept my h.r. unusually high.
