Note

Skipped a run tonight to catch Bill James and Rachel at LPL talking about their new book.

Headlamp run on West Campus. Very nice out there - clear and no wind with a temp in the mid-40s.

Note

A known, and very frustrating, problem the City has is asking for payments due:

I encountered, reported on, and made recommendations to try to fix the problem...but, never got any traction.

running 25:00 [2]

Short jog on West Campus. I hadn't realized KU was playing an exhibition bball game until I saw all of the cars on West Campus.

Felt so-so, but then felt pretty good at the very end.

running 1:05:00 [2]

Mary and I went out to the Perry trails area. My legs felt shot from yesterday. I decided to do an easy jog on the trails and use the time to check out some areas where I'd drawn trails from GPS tracks rather than lidar data. I made a few changes when I got home. The map is in pretty good shape now.

MTB cycling 40:00 [1]

I did some MTB time on pavement. My legs felt a good bit better riding than they did when I was running.

Jogging around to pick up a few controls. My legs felt tired.

PTOC season opening at Kill Creek (course setter was Mike Stewart). The yellow areas can be slow and rough. But it is hard to tell what it'll be like until you get there. Sometimes the grass is ankle/calf deep. Sometimes the grass is taller than me.

I was a couple of minutes back of Tom H. and just over half a minute ahead of Dean H.
