PTOC event at Landahl with Jason E as the course setter for his first course setting. I'm well below 100 percent, so I ran Green and kept the effort a bit low.

The terrain is a bit yucky. There are some thorns. There is lots of brush honeysuckle. The stream crossing are tough because the banks are steep, tall and slippery. Oh, and some of the open areas are junky, too. Still, it was fun and the course didn't require us to venture into most of the junk (but you still had some streams to cross).

running 15:00 [2]

Still not entirely well, but I've gone 24 hours without any cold medication and am feeling pretty good. I wanted a short test run to see if it made any sense to drive to Landahl tomorrow. I jogged around a bit and felt ok. Assuming I feel better tomorrow, I'll go with Blair and Mary to Landahl.

Note

After my walk around Burcham on Monday I started feeling crummy.

I noticed some light cold symptoms late last week and they got worse on Monday. By evening I was feeling crappy.

I stayed home from work on Tuesday and slept a lot. I'm pretty sure that was my first sick day off work in over 10 years.

Today, I felt a lot better and went to work, but was still a bit off and came home mid-afternoon when I realized I couldn't concentrate for more than a couple of minutes. I feel a lot better, but not normal. I'll probably work tomorrow but take another couple of days without any running. That'll stretch out the 31 day challenge.
