OK event at Centennial Park. Mary made the map. It is the first map she'd ever made. It was fine. Blair and Mary designed the courses. I did the "memory" course. There was a map at each control showing the next control. You ran without a map. It was fun and a nice way to get 3K of orienteering in a little park.
Rimmo and Dean beat me. It was a nice surprise to see Rimmo. I thought he'd gone home, but I think he's going home soon. Rick H was also there. I haven't seen him at an orienteering event in a while.
A funny moment after everyone was done. Gay was chatting with Rimmo and asked him what people in his country thought of Trump. Rimmo's English is fine, but his vocabulary is a bit limited. He couldn't come up with the word, so I got out his phone and checked some translation..."Buffoon."

Picked up some controls. I probably wouldn't have added a 10 minute jog to my log under normal circumstances. But, Cristina-bot was giving me grief and every minute counts.
Biked out to Clinton on the bike paths. I wanted to check out the lake level. I'd say the lake level is maybe 2 meters lower than it was, but Sanders Mound is still an island.
I cut the run short so I could get back to work on the KU class I'm working on. I'm slowly but surely learning how to work Blackboard. It isn't intuitive, but with practice I'm learning my way around.
Two days in a row with no training (except walking up to the 3rd floor for coffee).
Met with the GTA for the course I'm teaching at KU this Fall. The semester starts next week. I'm feeling under prepared, but in better shape than I was a couple of days ago. The first two weeks are on-line only.
Also, I bought a mini-pump for my MTB. After some discussion with the folks at Sunflower, we decided it wouldn't be completely worthless. My other pump was completely worthless. I'm hoping this is better than worthless.
Mary and I met Nadim at JCCC and shuffled around a sprint course. The map needs to be updated with some new construction. On-going construction made some route choice options unavailable. Fun, but after about 12-13 minutes of running I was feeling overheated.
