running 1:00:00 [2]

Nice and easy jogging. I'm still being cautious about my left leg.

I carried my map and looked at it now and then. I also listened to some of a new Swedish O' podcast that featured an interview with Jonas Leandersson. I've heard him interviewed before and he's interesting. This particular interview had some audio quality issues, but was still something to listen to.

Muggy but cloudy and enough wind to make things ok. When the sun comes out, it will get unpleasant. I think we're under a heat advisory for most of today.

running 30:00 [2]

Morning jog. I started with 5 minutes of walking, then jogged easily for 30 minutes. My left leg felt ok.

Sweaty and feels like summer has returned after a few very pleasant days. The morning was comfortable and the clouds helped.

I took a vacation day - resting, working on the KU course, and a chat with an audit colleague in another organization. The auditor has a lot of stuff going on and on top of all of that he lost his uncle to Covid-19 a few days ago.

MTB cycling 1:00:00 [1]

First an easy ride to/from the movie theater with Mary. Then I went on and did some more on my own. I rolled around on West Campus. Riding up to the high point at the Daisy Hill bridge is a little like climbing Pike's Peak.

I presented at a webinar today. Almost 90 minutes...it was draining - really hard to talk to your computer screen for that long (with short breaks from the facilitator). At the last minute I mixed up a little sport drink (nuun tablet in a glass of water). I drank the entire thing during the presentation. I'm not used to talking so much.

I'm taking a vacation day tomorrow. That will be nice.

Dinner last night was salad with beans. Tonight we eat beans.

Note

I ate a leftover black bean burger. I poked around the fridge and found some Heinz 57. Adding Heinz 57 to the burger was a good decision. I need to add it to the shopping list for our next grocery run.

running 20:00 [2]

Very easy jog. Took it extra careful. Felt ok. My left leg seemed normal.

I warmed up with 5-6 minutes of walking and then jogged easily for a little over 20 minutes.

I'll probably take it easy tomorrow and then do another easy jog on Friday.

Temps are nice, but warmer than yesterday and you can feel summer returning.

MTB cycling 45:00 [1]

Another fantastic day - low 50s when I did my morning walk.

I rolled around on my MTB on pavement after work.

People are starting to return to town. It doesn't feel busy, but there is clearly more traffic. Classes start in about 3 weeks. I don't quite understand how things are supposed to work. But the class I teach is fully online for the entire semester, so I don't have to worry about in person classes.

Oh yeah...we had black bean burgers for dinner. I'm happy with the recipe.

MTB cycling 40:00 [1]

An easy bike ride on the bike path with Mary.

Amazing weather - 62F when I woke up this morning and a high of maybe 76F.

running 1:05:00 [2]

Slow jog around on campus with my map (reading it occasionally).

This was a disappointment. I expected my left leg to feel completely normal. It didn't. I don't think I did any harm, but I'm going to stick with biking for two days and try again with a short jog on Wednesday.
