MTB cycling 2:20:00 [1]

MTB on roads, levee and the river trail. Fun.

I went on the Mud Creek levee a bit north of the end of the river trail. I haven't done that in a long time. I saw a coyote. That was cool.

On the way home I went by the football stadium. There was a game just getting started. I think they allowed up to 10000 people into the game. I biked along Memorial Drive and looked at the crowd. I'd say fewer than 10000 (which is 20 percent of the stadium capacity). It was kind of fun to see the band all spread out.

It was a little hard to see the scoreboard, but I think the score was 3-0 when I went by.

running 20:00 [2]

Was planning to do nothing. Then realized I should at least check out the remains of the dead possum. A short jog was just right. There isn't much left of the dead possum.

I had plans to make something for dinner, but the grocery store was out of feta. Tonight will be a Taiwan baseball night with a couple of hotdogs and the Lions-Monkeys game.

MTB cycling 45:00 [1]

My plan was to go for a jog. But in the middle of the night my left foot cramped. When I work up in the morning, it happened again. I decided something strange was going on so doing a bike ride would be easier than a run. And it was. But then my right foot cramped up about an hour after my ride. Very strange.

I ate no beans today. But, I have eaten beans the previous three days. I don't think I recorded that on AP.

running 20:00 [3]

Tonight was class night, so I just squeezed in a little jog.

The dead possum on the trail is quite smelly. Both times I passed by a Turkey Vulture was enjoying a meal of dead smelly possum.

I think class went well. But, it is hard to tell.

I watched a bit of my brother's demo today. I'm sure he's a much better teacher than I am. Maybe I can pick up some good tips (on teaching and on making chocolate chip cookies).

running 20:00 [2]

Short jog on West Campus.

There's a dead possum. A big dead possum, but probably not the world's largest dead possum. It wasn't there (the little trail off of Lawrence Ave and Clinton Parkway) when I ran on Sunday. It is gross.

Cut things short to give me a bit of extra time to read/skim the papers the students turned in. We've got class tomorrow. I won't have the papers graded, but I need to have a feel for how things are going.

MTB cycling 45:00 [1]

I went out for a bit of a bike ride on the roads. I felt good, but wasn't out long.

Dinner...Mary got Terrebonne Cafe takeout. I had red beans and rice with Andouie (sp?) sausage. I also ate some beans yesterday.

Note

We had reservations at Old Faithful this winter. But they're not opening for overnight visits. We decided to cancel the entire trip. Fortunately, we will have a replacement....the World's Largest Baseball:

I jogged through a course on campus with my 1:10K Lawrence map (printed at 1:7500). The course was fun and I felt good.

I delayed starting my run to let a line of lightning pass by.
