Saturday Jul 17 #

running 1:15:00 [2]

Yuck. This was not good. I shuffled around slowly. My h.r. gradually went up and up as my pace went down and down. I took some extra walking breaks. I drank the water I had with me. I searched for shady routes. But it just felt worse and worse. The dew point was 75. So that's part of it. But I also didn't sleep normally last night.

I ran on West Campus and the main campus.

Can you see the Orienteer Kansas connection to the 2022 WOC in Denmark?

Mowed the lawn.

Thursday Jul 15 #

running 1:00:00 [2]

A gentle run in a gentle rain. I ran through West Campus and on part of the main campus. The sun popped out for the last 15 minutes and things warmed up, but overall the conditions were pleasant

Tuesday Jul 13 #

MTB cycling 45:00 [1]

MTB on pavement. The idea was to break a sweat, which took maybe 2 minutes.

Monday Jul 12 #

running 45:00 [2]

Jogging after work with a few short bits at an honest effort (but not really moving quickly). Felt pretty good. I'm sure that's due to pleasant-ish weather conditions.

Sunday Jul 11 #

8 AM

running 10:00 [1]

Easy jogging to warm up a bit.

orienteering race 20:56 [4] ***

Sunflower State Games at Gage Park in Topeka. Fritz set the course and did the map. Fun. Fritz went a bit crazy mapping point features - like every tree and using 4 or 5 different point symbols for various manmade features.

Nice conditions - overcast and about 70. The rain held off.

I had a clean run but I'm just so slow.
