Running (Mix) 10:00 [2]
Jogging to/from the start.
Orienteering (Woods/Night) 57:20 [3]*** 5.9 km (9:43 / km) +330m 7:36 / km

Night-O at Rockwoods (1:10) with David, Jeff Sona, Rob Wagnon and guest of honor Suzanne Armstrong. Rob, Jeff, and Suzanne went as a group. Ran well, basically clean with a few 10-15 second bobbles. One of my better night performances. David was fast for most of the course, but boomed a couple controls badly.

Tuesday Jan 3

Running (Road) 40:00 [2]
Over to Y and back.
Swimming (Pool) 11:00 [4]
5x50@45 go on 1:00. Meant to do 10, but that pace turned out to be too quick for me. I took a 1-minute breather and then did 5x50@48 on 1:00.
Note
Spent some time in the whirlpool before and after the swimming because my back has been giving me a little trouble the past couple days. Too much throwing baby-O (who now weights 35 pounds) up in the air.

Monday Jan 2

Running (Road) 39:00 [3]
Lunchtime run with Jeff.

Sunday Jan 1

Cycling (Road) 2:13:00 [2]
Over to Castlewood and back.
Cycling (Trail) 1:16:00 [3]
Most of the Castlewood trail network (main omission was Blue Ribbon). Lots of recreational riders and walkers out - not surpising being that we hit 60F today. Not a record, but still mighty warm. Trails were greasy in spots which made me wish I had knobbies instead of the semi-slicks I usually race with. Managed to keep it upright.

Saturday Dec 31

Running (Road) 45:00 [2]
Finished the year with an easy run on roads. I hope to be doing fewer of these next year and more in the woods (was way off in that area this year, although my results didn't suffer too much).

Friday Dec 30

Orienteering (Woods) 2:55:00 [4]*** 20 km (8:45 / km) +545m 7:42 / km
spiked:24/35c
SLOC 3-hour course from 2004 at Hawn (1:15). Pretty clean and a good pace. Still a couple minutes off David's winning sweep time. Didn't think I was running that hard, but I felt pretty whipped by the end. It started raining about half way and turned to thunderstorms for the last half hour. Kinda strange for this time of year.
