Cycling (Road) 1:13:00 [2]
weight:180lbs (injured)

Over to Babler.

Orienteering race (Woods) 1:18:54 [4] *** 7.4 km (10:40 / km) +430m 8:16 / km
12c

SLOC meet at Babler (1:15). Typical Rob course, which means once you get past the whacky layout and insane climb, you have some really interesting route choice legs. Back is still not 100%, so I took it easy on the hills. That killed my time on a course with this much climb, but it was fun. Most of my routes were good and nav was fairly clean.

David continues to duck honest 1 on 1 competition, so no death match consequences.

Map. Will enter splits tomorrow. (BTW, I numbered 9 & 10 backwards by mistake, but hit them in the right order - following the red line).

Cycling (Road) 2:03:00 [3]

As pennance for all the climb, I made Rob take my pack home in his car. That made the ride back a lot more fun. Hit several climbs including hard efforts on Orville and Marshall. Didn't time Orville, but Marshall was 3:02. This weight loss thing might pay off.

Finally some outdoor riding, although of dubious quality. Ran a bunch of errands by bike. Legs still feel dead, which seems wierd in light of my training over the past week. Maybe I'm doing something different to favor my back, but I'm not aware of it.

Touching up the UMSL map.

Cycling (Trainer) 2:30:00 [2]

LSD on the trainer. Yawn.

Gym (Cardio) 15:00 [2]
weight:180lbs (injured)

Warmup on the elliptical trainer.

Gym (Weights) 18:00 [3]

2 sets upper only. Backed off the weight just a hair and focused on really clean form so I wouldn't hurt my back.

Swimming (Pool) 20:00 [2]

1000 easy. Sat in the whirlpool for a bit before and after.

5x30s full on 10:00R. This trainer crap is getting old. I need to change my hours at work so I can get outside.

Cycling (Trainer) 1:00:00 [4]
weight:179lbs (injured)

Back felt up to riding in the tuck, so 6x3:00@40K pace 3:00R. Legs were a bit off - not too surprising as this is the first real effort in 10 days.

Running (Road) 1:15:00 [3]

Immediately followed by a jog. Most was pretty easy pace, but I give it a 3 for two firm uphill efforts of about 3:30 each midway through the run. Back felt better the longer I went, but it's clearly not right. The effort doesn't bother it, but any hard landing on the left foot is quite memorable.

Cycling (Trainer) 1:20:00 [2]
weight:180lbs (injured)

Had two 15-minute sessions in the whirlpool after work. Then did some spinning on the trainer after dinner. I'm able to ride in the tuck, so progress is being made. Sitting at a desk all day is no fun, though.
