Note
(injured)

Took the day off hoping my feet would heal up. Did a little walking (in shoes - with the blisters properly bandaged) and it didn't feel too bad. Will probably be able to run tomorrow, although I don't know that I'll get the chance.

Terrain (Sand) 30:00 [4]

7x1:00 at threshold pace, 1:00R. Under the heading of "Dumb Things To Do" I ran this barefoot. That worked out fine until I ran through some waves. My feet blistered almost immediately after that. I cut the workout short, but I'll still be running Colorado with my feet jacked up.

Running (Road) 50:00 [2]

Easy jog round Longboat Key, FL. Includes about 15 minutes of trail running at a really nice little nature park.

In to work.

Running (Road) 38:00 [2]

Over to the Arch and back at lunch.

Orienteering (Park) 19:00 [4] ***
22c

O-intervals at the Arch (1:5 photo). Five courses of 2-2:30 at threshold pace with 2:00 recovery.

Cycling (Road) 1:22:00 [2]

Last major variation of the ride back home (unless you count crazy things like going over to Illinois and riding up the east side of the Mississippi - hey, that's not a bad idea). Through Forest Park to Clayton to Conway. Legs are definitely ready for taper (which starts tomorrow). Spun easy in the 60 and finished up with some bike handling practice.

Cycling (Road) 48:00 [3]
weight:165lbs

I left my rear light at work yesterday and couldn't find my backup so I had to wait until 5:45 to leave for work. That made things pretty tight as I had a 7AM meeting. Spun the 60 for about 10 minutes to warm up and then big ringed it in. Showered and got to my desk at 6:55.

Cycling (Road) 2:48:00 [2]

Riverfront trail to Chain of Rocks then straight west on Dunn (which sucked less than I expected) to the flood plain and home through CC Lake Park. It's starting to get hot again, but still pretty nice. We went to Dewey's to celebrate #250 and then hung out in Kirkwood Square while Baby-O played by the fountain.

Back from work via Grant's trail and Ballas. Another perfect day for riding.
