Pere Marquette. On paper, a pretty typical finish: broke the hour, 14th overall, 1st M50. All things I've done before. I think it rates a bit higher than that, though. The field was very strong (as evidenced by my #21 seed; the lowest I've been ranked in years), the conditions, while pleasant, were not particularly fast (the trail is definitely quicker when frozen), and the AG win was anything but automatic (Rick Barnes turned 50 this year). So, a good solid finish to the season made a bit more special since Kevin was visiting.

Probably just a touch fast for the dial-in for PM but, as the first climb starts just 90 seconds into the course, the opening pace is generally a little firmer than tempo.
