Powerline out & back. As this route is all on the clay flood plain and completely exposed to the sun, the surface is about as comfortable to run barefoot as lumpy concrete. Time to switch to my summertime barefoot venues.

SLOC sprint at Chautauqua.

Fun, albeit rather simple, course. No nav mistakes. Rather than use punches, you had to note things at each control. I got a few details wrong so I didn't win despite having fast time by a couple minutes. No regrets there; I'd rather nav and run well than break my rhythm to preserve a win I didn't even care about.

Original plan was to do the track work with FFRC but catching up at work had me leaving late, so I just ran barefoot on the grass loops at Parkway North from home.

Duck on a wire. Legs were off. Not surprising after a 1000-mile drive. As is usually the case with these things, the longer I ran the better I felt. And, while my stride was shorter than usual, it was quick and light. Should be OK for hitting the track tomorrow.
