Waterfront.

Sunday Aug 27

Running warm up/down 10:00 [1]
Orienteering race 1:25:00 [3]
Tired and low on energy from the beginning. Opened up in a moderate pace, and didn't do any mistakes until 9th where I lost some time and got caught by Nick. I followed him, more or less, trying to keep up, until 19th when I took the trail route choice and after that it was game over. From 22 I had to walk back. First time I had to DNF because of fatigue only, historically my DNF's have been a combination of fatigue and awful navigation. What a weekend!

Saturday Aug 26

Running warm up/down 40:00 [1]
Orienteering race 1:00:00 [3]
AM: Middle, Terra Nova. Never got into the race, and although the map was not the best, and controls were misplaced, I have run under those circumstances before, well - perhaps not misplaced controls actually in a race but...and I should have done much better. Most mistakes were mine, all mine. 25 years of orienteering should mean indicate some experience and routine. Legs were off too. Blääää.
Orienteering race 15:00 [4]
Running warm up/down 30:00 [1]
PM: Wow, you really get tested at these championships. This time no working SI units. For some. Didn't bother me until afterwards when I heard the units were working for those starting late. Anyway, yet again, I can only blame myself, 30 sec on a control at the end, and perhaps something similar on a route choice in the beginning (where I, however, couldn't see the trail under the red line) put me a bit too far behind the very top. I think. Legs were much better though, and I am pretty happy with the race.

Don't mind O-cross, don't like score-O.

Saturday Aug 19

Running 20:00 [1]
Orienteering race 1:25:00 [3]
Forks of the credit. Very, very tired legs from the beginning, which wasn't a surprise since I have done a lot of high intensity the past seven days but I didn't think it would this bad. Anyhow, doesn't matter, but next week does. I won't go to this area in the summer again...Btw, the course was 8km.

Hung ribbons at Mt Nemo.

Sunday Aug 13

Running race 30:00 [4]
Running warm up/down 40:00 [1]
South Huron Trail Run. 8K. Legs a bit tired from the last day's training so I opened up relatively easy first 3K, felt good between 3K and 6.5K but the last 1.5K was tough. 20s better than last year (10th overall), 29.45.
