Running 1:25:00 [2]

Bruce Trail from Walkers Ln/No 1 side road west to Cedar Springs (whatever the road is called that eventually becomes Brant) and back. Ran slightly faster back than out, but Garmin says it was longer coming home. Not sure what to think about my Garmin anymore.

Running 35:00 [1]

Orienteering race 35:00 [4]

AM: Buffalo middle. Nice area - a bit like Rockcliffe Trails. Not a good race. One biggie - 3-4 minutes and a few small ones. The mistakes can somewhat be explained by a big bubble in my, aka Adria's, compass, but if I had read the map properly, those mistakes wouldn't have happened. I wasn't prepared for the humid conditions either, felt slightly dehydrated, which was another big mistakes. Since I can't train as much as back in the good ol' days, I should at least make sure I have enough fuel. That doesn't require any extra time.

Orienteering race 10:00 [4]

Running 30:00 [1]

Running hills 15:00 [3]

PM: Buffalo Sprint. A very fast and easy course. No difficulties at all really, except perhaps one single control. I drank a lot after the middle race and that certainly helped. The legs were not super bouncy but much better. I am happy that I haven't lost my 'sprint edge', 2nd place, albeit 25 s behind winner on a sub 12 min course is significant, but I am very happy with second place. Two minor mistakes, missed a short cut, 3-5 s, and didn't read the clue sheet so I ran around a small tower the 'wrong' way, 5 s. But that's it. After the sprint, I showed the crowed what we in Hamilon do as a warm up and cool down.

Running tempo 30:00 [4]

Running 30:00 [1]

first time i run back to back days since mid-april. but i wanted to test my knee and i will find out tomorrow morning i guess. i ran the winter rally in the dark. i felt a bit awkward running downhill, b/c of the darkeness and my knee, but tried to keep a good pace up the hills. the time is nothing to write home about except that i ran the second loop as fast as the first one which is unusal. i didn't feel as tired as i have done after other rallys but a good middle distance prep for the weekend.
