Orienteering race 1:05:00 [4]

Running 45:00 [1]

O-Ringen, stage 1. M35 - 8.5 km.
Typical Smålandish terrain - rough orienteering for most part of each leg, but then you have to really slow down (at least I have to) the last hundred meters in to the control. My forest running is not particular strong at the moment so my tactic was to use the trails as much as possible. I did a couple of smaller mistakes two of them typical O-Ringen mistakes, the first one "Oh, lots of controls here. I know this one is not mine but I am going to check it out anyways. Right, it wasn´t mine. Where am I now?" and the second one in area where tons of people were running around looking for their controls and I joined them for a minute or two. The third mistake I did was a conventional parallell error. All in all, a good start. 20th place, but just over 10 minutes behind the leader. Only a few minutes behind Carsten and Tore though.

Friday Jul 17

Running 55:00 [2]

Landsbro.
Went for an early morning run around Pipabacken and Lillesjön. First time on small trails since the Blaze, except Flume Knob, foot much better, but I still don´t feel 100% comfortable on the downhill.

Thursday Jul 16

Running 35:00 [1]

Recovery run. Legs not too beaten up.

Wednesday Jul 15

Running race 35:00 [4]

Running 55:00 [1]

Victorialoppet. Although the preparation was not ideal...a tradition is a tradition. A nice evening, albeit a bit muggy, which is unusal for Öland. Legs were sluggish from the start but I gave it a shot. However, after 3 km and 11 minutes, I realized that this was not going to be a better as expected kind of race. I stayed with a group for the rest of the race and finished with 33.40. 55 seconds slower than last year, which I thought was a low, since that was a 45 second drop. Some people are suggesting I am getting old.

Tuesday Jul 14

Running 1:00:00 [2]

Running 15:00 [2]

Cottage-Knisa Bay-Sjölunden and return.
A relatively easy run, hill "sprints" excluded, to get over the jet leg. Legs heavy, but it was a very nice and warm evening, and it felt good to be back home.

Monday Jul 13
