Attack the Trax at Highlands.
Fun to do some ski o again but not much nav challenge since I know the system well. Nevertheless, I managed to take a very bad route to the first control after the map exchange and lost 3.5 min to Bob. That route included some bush walking through waist deep snow, not being able to put the skis back on due to ice/snow under my boots and lost my SI card.
Great to see 55 people out doing this event and they all seemed to enjoy it.
Ski conditions were very good but legs were back to the sluggish feeling I had earlier this week.
SMT from the hottage. Both Sulphur and Mineral and most in the woods. Still a fair bit of snow in the west end. Sulphur is getting pretty muddy.
Felt much better than previously this week.
At Hardwood.
1:20 before the school race (planned).
0:55 after the race (not planned but trying to find my cell phone somewhere out there. did eventually find it)
Very soft, slow, and tough conditions. No rain for most of the time still made the ski ok.
TNT with the crew. I have been very tired in general the last few days and today was no exception. Struggled from the beginning and no second wind. Still worked hard so it was still a good workout. Some Franken as a closer.
Winter almost over and no ski races this year either unless I decide in the last minute to go to the Leprechaunloppet. A preliminary race schedule for the spring though.
