Running 30:00 [1]
scotiabank halfmarathon. good day for running. had a good start and felt just fine up to 14K, although 38:10 on the first 10K might have been a bit too fast - at least in hindsight, after 14 or closer to 15K i had a few km which required some serious work, but i fought hard and didn't lose to much distance to the majority of the fellow runners around but when there was 2.5km-ish my quads started to really tighten up and last 1-1.5 km was not pretty. overall, a good race until 18K and i am glad i did the last minute registration. very happy that i can pull off a sub 4 min/km race without any particular half marathon training under my belt. knee held fine and i need to think about it some more but the feeling is that, for some reason, monotonous running seem to stress the knee less than twisting and turning kind of running.
