Orienteering 3:03:00 [3]
SSR. First time since Bob hosted it in HV. Isak and I didn't even bring the snowshoes and we would probably run without even with greater snow depth. We ran waaaay longer than I though we would. Isak had been sick a few days ago so the plan was to do perhaps 1.5-2h. Plan was to go west and then turn around and maybe, maybe do some Matrix but we did a lot more. Lots of people on the trail up the hill but that forced us to take it easy-ish so that was good. I was surprised so few went to #38 first, but we did. On our way to #44, I ran in and took #31. In hindsight that was unnecessary. The five minutes it took me was the time we came late (and more). After #45, 46, 48, I thought we were done and we went to #47 but once we got to the top Isak wanted to do the longer loop back so we continued on to #51 (ran too far on trail), #52 and then !-control; here we did the biggest mistake for the day and lost probably 5 min. #54 and then #55 before we split up. Isak was supposed to do #32 and then aid station and I'd do #33 and 35. Running towards #35, I realized I was too tired and too late to go up so I ran back towards aid station. On the way I passed Ray who told me Isak was just ahead of me. WTF? He was supposed to go to #32 and then road to aid station but he went to #34 instead, beat me back and also compensated for me not taking #35. From aid station it was a 'sprint' to #37 and then sliding down to the finish. Great fun.
