Orienteering 1:17:00 [4]

Running 10:00 [1]

Day 2 and this time on the much easier west side. Came of to a good start but lost some focus after 5-6 controls and DD caught me there. We had after that a good battle and I managed to get away two times but got caught again and then did DD have a really good finish (and a great race overall!). I was in 2nd place pretty much throughout the race but lost it to Rhombus at the very end. Not a biggie though because I enjoyed it and the DGL juniors ran really well.

Orienteering 2:09:00 [3]

Running 15:00 [1]

Day 1 of Falls Classic at Letchworth. A tough one. Lots of climb and hot. Had a good start and was 2nd after the first long leg but then did 1.5min on a super easy control and that bothered me. The leg after that was stupid/dangerous - straight across a gorge and it was map in mouth trying to find roots and rocks to hold on to while climbing straight up. Took a chance and just went in a general direction after the climb and spent lots of time relocating. I usually don't complain about courses but the 7th control was really, really bad. Uber green and thick and just nasty and I again spent some time wondering around. Bounced back after that but started to get tired and dropped another handful of minutes at the end one control. 129 min and 10.5km makes this one of the slowest races ever although there are 15min mistakes in there, at least. I ran here in 2001, 12.5k and 105 min...

Orienteering 40:00 [2]

ARX training from New City View Park. I totally underestimated the difficulty and had some problems initially. In my defence, I ran on map with no trails. Woods pretty thick in general and to be honest, too thick to really enjoy it. Look fwd to the fall.

Running 55:00 intensity: (20:00 @1) + (35:00 @5)

Not feeling 100% but today was the only day I could some quality. Ran 6 times 2 on/1 off and felt pretty good. Died on the Bannstairs, 5:01!, but managed to somewhat bounce back on the run from plot to Hillcrest/Mtn, 4:51.
