Orienteering 1:03:00 [2]

More heat and tired legs from Dances but the orienteering was really nice. It was contours only at Dryden Tract and it was challenging. The head was not always there but I still enjoyed it and it was nice just to semi-cruise around and enjoying the terrain.

Orienteering 35:00 [3]

Phase 2 of the Trot and this was at Little Tract. Never been there before which was nice. It was a very small area and it was a lot of trail running but the woods that we did run in were nice. Did a mistake to number one but clean after that. Legs could definitely feel all the running over the weekend not to mention the heat but the latter was the same for everybody and not an excuse as to why #EuroFlop did his race of a life time and beat me with a few seconds. https://s3.amazonaws.com/toc.app.data/turkey-trot-...

Running 33:00 [4]

Leg 1 - Stampede. Garmin distance was 7.3km and the leg offered sandy, gnarly trails with a few hundred meters of off trail stuff. Climb was significant in my opinion - 150m. Perhaps it was the short warm up or just the timing but legs were very sluggish from the beginning but eventually found a group I could run with that kept good pace but still saved some for the later legs. Not the start I wanted but not a disaster. Very humid already!

Running 41:00 [4]

Leg 6 - This sucks!. The swamp leg. Legs not really with me in the beginning but started to feel better about halfway through and once we got off the trail, I started to feel a lot better. The creek crossings were as muddy as one could expect and the heat on the last k on a rail trail was brutal but I felt good at the end and managed to get away from a team or two.

Running 32:00 [4]

Leg 11 - Be Prepared. Last leg of the day! Yes! A mid afternoon run in 35C or so but the trails were nice. Much like the first leg but less hilly although we did have one long, nasty climb. This was the leg that I relatively felt the best and passed two teams. Nice to end on a very positive note. Overall we finished 8th and 4th considering the age handicap.

Orienteering 33:00 [3]

X league from Heritage Green. New map but I have been to the area although not enough to just go by memory. Not at all actually. Started with the forest controls and managed to get away from the juniors and kept it like that all the way in.

Running 1:03:00 intensity: (38:00 @1) + (25:00 @5)

Yesterday was too busy for a run but compensated that with 5 x1000m from Sanctuary Park to home. Two of them were under 3:40 and two just above while the last one was a fading one. Overall, I think the pace was faster than
it has been for some good time doing these kind of intervals, which means good times!
