All the strength for knee is helping although it is a slow process. I have never been an aggressive runner but I am now at level zero and I need to up my game, trusting that my knee is now good enough for some quicker steps down the hills. Thus some attempts to tempo on BT behind 17th fairway to stairs. 3 times in total. Went okay I thought. Very tiring for sure. Did also 3 x 1 minutes on the rail trail. I had hoped for 3:45 pace but a few seconds away from that.

Evening ride in very warm temps. A bit of wind. Up Wilson and the a Lovers/Fiddlers and Southcote combo.

Track meet this afternoon so no HS practice => possible to join Wastrels. 20 riders out. Fast but not crazy along Plains, York and Northshore. Felt relatively comfortable although the I always find the corners challenging. Lead group split up at the beginning of Lemonville, formed a second group with Juan and Joe. Good start of the 2023 campagin.
