Hill run 1:10:50 [3]12 km (5:54 / km) +500m 4:53 / km
Whernside - Completed the three peaks by making an assault on Whernside, although this time I was on my own, think the five hours the previous day took there toll! Real hot and no wind.. devoured my water!

Saturday May 10

Hill run 3:30:00 [2]31 km (6:46 / km) +1000m 5:50 / km
Pen-Y-Ghent and Ingleborough - Weekend in Horton in Ribblesdale with work colleagues five of us set off on part of the three peaks run in the dales, nice weather, leisurely pace, I worked hard on the steep hills hence gave it a 2. Were actually out for almost five hours but there was a fair bit of stopping. Evening topped off by tasty bbq.

Thursday May 8

Trail Run 40:00 [2]
Hutcliffe - Ecclesall and home

Orienteering 35:10 [5]

SYO Spring Cup, Greno Woods (Brambly hill) - Feel like I have recovered from the weekend, although was lazy with my navigation and didn't use my compass effectively, lost a couple of mins looking for pit in patch of brambles!

Tuesday May 6

Trail Run 30:00 [1]
shoes: AsicsGel-1120
Slow recovery jog over and back through hutcliffe twice - allowing my perrenial thoughts of harder training and commitment to allow to slip in... this year!
C • If you plan on trainintg hard... 3

Monday May 5

Orienteering race (Middle) 37:04 [5]5 km (7:25 / km) +305m 5:41 / km
shoes: VJ Integrators
Irish Orienteering Middle Championships - Bear Island. Another well planned course, liked the long leg early on getting most the climb out of the way, was running well but as in the classic I allowed my concentration to slip and the mistakes came thick and fast including a 180 degree error out of 13 (total loss of time about 2/3mins over the course). However, can take some solice in the fact that many found the end of the course was on a poorly mapped area and consequently many people made mistakes some more costly than others!! Again, if all ran cleanly my best possible position would have been 4th
Trail Run warm up/down 20:00 [1]
