Stroller jog/run 35:46 [2] 4.37 mi (8:11 / mi) +50m 7:54 / mi

Daycare run in the 39 degree fog.

Running 11:39 [2] 1.34 mi (8:42 / mi) +46m 7:51 / mi

And sans stroller. Later start this morning. Didn't make it in before 9am, so parking lot was full. But making a breakfast burrito at home was worth it...

Road rash is healing, but painful and pretty bruised.

Stroller jog/run 40:05 [1] 4.38 mi (9:09 / mi) +121m 8:26 / mi

Still sore from Sunday's race, but getting better. Sylvia jogged with me for the first 200m or so too. Chilly one.

Rollerskiing 11:19 [1] 1.46 mi (7:45 / mi) +17m 7:29 / mi

Roads were dry again, so headed out for a rxc and promptly crashed on a downhill trying to check speed. Notable but not terrible road rash. Yay for nonstick gauze pads!

XC skiing 55:39 [4] 9.26 mi (6:01 / mi) +236m 5:34 / mi

Teacup Classic 15k

Beaten by my elementary-school rival Carina Hamel by 2 min. Should really be closer... some fitness, some my wax pocket might not be where I think it is, skis felt a little draggy.

But super-fun times getting out there and racing. The trails were just gorgeous.

Hung out with Carina and her little Svea after. Sylvia did some good skiing again. One trick she likes is one-ski-on one-ski-off. Because then she's in better control and can do some good scooting on the one ski!

What a day!

S slept in her big-kid bed for the first time! (twin mattress on the floor)
Called both sets of grandparents.
Made muffins
S + T to gymnastics and OMSI.
A waxes skis for tomorrow's race + women in science brunch @ Reed.
Tom's cousin's car won't start that's parked at our house so they go to a store to buy jumper cables and come back with an emergency jumping battery.
THEN we finally get off to go skiing. So it was 4pm by the time I was on the trail, but no one else was out and the skiing was amazing. Mt. Hood was really fantastic in the intermittent clouds and low-angle light.
Down to Hood River, avoiding a crash that closed the main road.
Swimming in the outdoor heated pool at hotel. Forgot towels. Chilly.
Dinner at Full Sail Brewing.
Books. Bed for all.
