Wasn't trying to beat Thursday's time but sitting next to Jono made me pick up some speed (trying to keep up! I should sit next to him any time I want to beat my time!) without really thinking about it.

Determined to get under 9 minutes I got my best time yet! And the last time I was under 9 minutes was, like, 2 years ago! Yay!

Went over some new shoulder rotation exercises with Alex before doing my program. Hopefully we can get my shoulder back to normal again and not have it ache so much. My program was ridiculously hard again. Was dying after the second exercise just like last week!

Got 14 today. It was much easier than last week but still got a tad confused. Waiting around at traffic lights when it starts to rain so you can cross busy roads is no fun though. Neither is getting to a control site and not finding it. I feel anal about having to have a real search for it so fluffed around at XC for several minutes. All in all though it was a really fun course.

Down to the bottom of Parnell, got lost 'cause I couldn't remember the road names I was looking for and it was dark, up and then down round Remuera then back to the gym. Felt pretty crappy and tired most of the way. Even the downhills were hard!

It was a nightmare and the kind of day where I wonder why the hell I orienteer 'cause I suck so much :(. I couldn't concentrate at all and about the only control I actually found without a disaster was the first control.

Okay, so my head is somewhere else at the moment so I really ought not to be so hard on myself.
