Cruising down the cool singletrack off the side of the Mt Hutt ski road before the race.

MTB race (Peak to Pub - mtb) 32:06 [3] (sick)shoes: Louis Garneau Monte Rosa MTB
After a very shaky start for our team (before the race even started!) I wasn't really sure feeling like riding at all but Craig stepped up to take Rhea's place in the ski and he seemed quite excited about it.
Down the Mt Hutt ski road to the crossroads. It's quite bumpy and felt like it was going on forever! Wasn't going to take the single track option since I'd already ridden it in the morning and knew it was definitely not faster! There was more flat (into a lovely headwind at the end) and uphill than I would have liked considering I was feeling like crap any time I tried to exert myself at all so I wasn't very fast but it was quite fun. Got quite a surprise to see Georgia standing on the side of the road at one point!

Riding back to Methven via the diversion race to cheer on Stephanie and see her swim across the channel.
I've come to the conclusion that although we are both still sick, I'm not sure we have the same thing. Race is postponed until tomorrow which is probably good. I hope it isn't too cold. So instead I am at home battling Illustrator...and I might finally be winning (sort of).
Michael and I are both sick in bed :-(
Hopefully I can at least walk round the block later today. And at least tomorrow's race doesn't really require me to pedal very much!
From home up Bowenvale then down Old Dyers and home via the bush behind the dog park. Was feeling a bit blah but fairly good considering until partway down old dyers when I suddenly felt awful. It was a long limp home from there!

To Rapaki where we met up with the Wednesday night run crew and cruised up with them then we did some more cruising along the traverse and then down through Vic Park (with some stops for a bit of practicing). Decided not to risk the nun tonight incase darkness descended on us. Next time. Anyway, glad Michael convinced me riding was a good idea as I wasn't really feeling like running tonight.
Nice little recovery cruise along the Summit Road with Michael. It was a lot colder than I was prepared for though. Felt alright once I'd warmed up (better than I did on my walk earlier today).
