Road Bike 52:00 [3]
(injured)

On Miss Monaco out to Sumner but, because I am supremely skilled, I got lost and rode round in circles in some industrial area. Sigh. Why do I keep trying to be clever instead of sticking to the tried and true ways?!

Run 1:30:00 [3]
(injured) shoes: Inov-8 Roclite-285

Up the Scarborough Bluffs track then along the crater rim to the Anaconda saddle then back along the mtb tracks and down Captain Thomas. The hills are so beautiful and it's pretty magic looking out towards Godley Head and the harbour. Felt a bit tired but warmed into it.

Home again on Miss Monaco. Kinda speedy for a princess bike but I did take the shortest, totally flat route back.

On the tandem out to Halswell and back via a detour up the valley. Not the most pleasant of weathers hence the not to exciting ride but should be taking it a bit easier this weekend anyway.

Run 1:15:41 [3]
(injured) shoes: Altra Lone Peak 1.5

Kinda cruising from home round the river and then up the valley track (where an angry cow and her calf were hanging out which was a little scary 'cause she was not happy to see me. I wonder where she came from. There are never cattle in this valley) and down Farm Track. Feeling sluggish and legs were a bit weird and not super functional!

Well, it was on the mountain bike but it was also on the road. From home to Vic Park. My legs are so tired.

Orienteering race (Vic Park "Sprint&quo) 35:36 [3] 2.6 km (13:42 / km)
(injured) shoes: Inov-8 Roclite-285

God I suck. Well, I really only stuffed up about 3 controls but I was so slow and pussy-footed. Only the last section was okay.

MTB 38:00 [3]
(injured) shoes: Louis Garneau Monte Rosa MTB

Home via the Summit Rd and Rapaki. Tried to ride up the 4wd road from Vic Park but my legs gave out on me so had to push. Down through Rapaki the mist was so thick it was a bit scary so couldn't go too fast in case I missed the invisible corners! Met some guy who'd fallen off and given himself such a fright he was walking his bike down. Poor guy. I know that feeling.

Out to Halswell and back all by myself!! Bit of rough going on the way home with a nasty strong headwind but those time trials have definitely made me tougher. Rode harder than I intended but I got too excited to be out! Wrist was okay but got sore by the end. I think I was pushing the boundaries a little. Next goal is to ride out to Tai Tapu and back. If only I could ride in the hills :-(
