Jukola, Tacton OK 2, leg 7, mass start. As wanted to do a long training, joined some team from runners bank. As it was heaps of people, navigation was barely needed - just needed to follow big line of people and not to go too fast. All went pretty good and enjoyable except one stupid guy stepped on my heal and my shoe went off, so spend couple of minutes watching people pass while fixing my shoe. Also did some stupid parallel mistake on no 10, when crossing the green started to search on the nearby hill. Also messed up a bit on the long 18, when was zirgzaging through green. In general it was heaps of fun - felt such a great orienteer in a crowd of amateurs. Knee was a bit bothering, but not too much, couple of times had elevated HR, as did some stops - seems I was still a bit tired.

Jukola, IFK MORA 2, leg 2. started 15min after leaders in 177th place, so fighting spirit was a bit gone.. Goals was to have a controlled run. It went more less good till no4, which was in a nasty green area - hesitated there a bit, but manged to relocate before making huge mistake and panicking. The biggest miss was on no 9, where didnt plan the route and missed safe route via road, but worse was when went into green slope and zigzaged a bit around - lost nearly 2min. Physically didnt feel super well - early in the race settled down in kind of comfortable pace not pushing close to the limit, but fast enough to be lazy to read the map. Ended up lifting team nearly 100 positions, 36th time on the leg and 6.12 after Emma Silvennoinen. Vesta was 3sec in front :)

Jogwalking around Jukola model/training map. Ugly terrain - a lot of stuff on the ground and vague contours. Hope i will like it more when i run faster.

Cism relay. 3.9km. Leg 2. Vesta did a good job and went out in 3rd spot with danish girl and some more serious teams chasing. Legs didnt feel too fresh and navigation was a bit messy - some hesitations and loop around 1st, slowing down before all the controls , but maybe that prevented from bigger mistakes. Direction mistake to spectator - was a bit lazy to check compass. On the way to 5th saw russian girl running in random direction, but kept on going till close to spectator i heard i was leading the relay! Tried to be carefull to last controls - danish girl was still hanging and pol +est was also in sight. 3rd last was a but tricky, but managed to spike it and saw danish coming, so just walked and pretended i havent found control. After she passed control and was already making mistake - sprinted to 2nd last. And as it was a tricky one, got a bit lost just before control, couldn't relocate. Then i saw polish and estonian punching.. finished in 3rd, within 20sec after estonia. Sandra did a good job and finished 3rd just infront of estonia. Poland and russia was in different legue..

Happy with the week - it wasnt perfect, but happy to do stable runs without big mistakes and rather good physical performance after sickness i was having recently.

CISM long, Hamina. Had a shit night sleep and didnt feel too energetic before the start. But once I started everything went quite ok. In general had a stable run except some small hesitation in the circle on 2, 4, 9. But i think i lost more on route choices - to go straight to 3rd, as forest was rather ok there and i was way too slow on the road, on 8th to go more on left than i did to avoid shitty area or on the right from the red line. And of course i shouldnt follow the power line to 9th - it was way too shitty there. Totally could save a bit more than 2min, but such clean run never happens in reality :) in general quite pleased with performance and happy to back on track. In 10th - 7.21 after Mironova, which is quite a lot though.

Cism middle, Hamina. Felt quite ok, got a bit lost of the warm up map, but no stress. My tactic was to have a clean run, even though i need to move slow. Started quite controlled, reading all the details, stopping where needed. Soon reqlized i cannot push, so felt a bit slow in the terrain, but that was all my body could do. Did one bigger miss on no 3, where i lost direction and took a bit to relocate and to find control ~30s, on the 9th wasnt sure if going straight was ok, but lost there a bit too - maybe more because of the execution. Also 10th was a bit messy - failed to see safe route choice around on the path and lost direction just before control in green - another 30s. Glad managed to avoid bigger mistakes and to keep concentration more less all the way. Also physically felt ok considering i was bumming last three weeks. 5.11 after Mironova in 10th - i made my goal for this year!

Model event of cism. Fun and nice - reminded training camp where i enjoyed every moment. Technically had a good run through controls, read all details nicely, but physically felt a bit tired and hr rate was way too high, after run felt feverish :/
