bear springs trap. hard start, until I hit my knee on the stem trying to shift and had to take it easy for a min. good racing with lots of portland riders, there was a group of 4 just ahead at the start of the 2nd expert section. I just caught them at the top of a fire road climb and then one guy drifted off in the single track. when we got back on the fire road they were working together and put time on me. 3rd expert, 13 verall.

momar biking. 1. climb to orienteering section - 1/2 rd and 1/2 trail. 2. climb to cp 10, down tech singletrack, psuedo tango then to powerhouse plunge, then to fartherside trail (flagged) to run ta. 3. ride to finish - dirt road.

momar running sections. 1. approx 1 mile start loop. 2. orienteering on new trails. some bushwacks, picked the right direction to do the loop but got on an alternate road on the way back, I think the same distance but maybe steeper elevation change. 3. rappel loop. flagged section, but got mixed up at one checkpoint that was an out an back. I didn't see where the flags continued so I just kept going past the cp and had to turn back. 4. 200 yd run to finish.

wed night world champs. After the first turn into the single track, I didn't pass or be passed until 2laps to go. I passed 2 guys, one passed me back right away. the other guy stayed on my wheel until i gave a good effort on the last climb and got a gap. he almost caught up on the descent but I held him off and opened it up again.
