Orienteering race 1:04:55 [3] 4.8 km (13:31 / km)
shoes: VJs

Grrrrr, too many problems :o(
No 6 was in the wrong place.
No 14, hadn't spotted there were 3 paths rather than 2 and then made a parallel error (not the only one to do so)
No 15, got pulled onto the not so indistinct indistinct path then nothing made sense.
Still not sure about 16 - in white forest I would have stayed high, but with 2.5m contours & thick vegetation, I'm happy with my route, I think.
Should have been second or third.

The colours are deliberately yellows & reds as the greens would have been impossible to see on that map!!

Orienteering 1:15:14 [3] 6.8 km (11:04 / km)
shoes: VJs

A bit of an orange course, but the green wasn't as vicious as it looked, so some legs were a bit straighter. Just tried to have decent attack points & have confidence in the circle. There were a few very frustrated runners who kept overtaking me....
6/19, with no chance of getting onto the podium - not enough mistakes :o)
Almost pulled an hour out of Suze.
Group dinner in St Denis, followed by a gruop trip to the top of the lighthouse...

Orienteering race 27:42 [4] 2.8 km (9:54 / km)
shoes: Walshes

Sprint around Boyardville.
3 mistakes :o(
No 3, was on the path but thought it was just an elephant track - didn't look like a permanent fixture - so got out & relocated, then really struggled to get back in again. Apparently Sue caught 2 minutes on me at this point!!
No 9, got confusilated by the mapping. Was expecting to come across a road, not a sandy footpath, and it all went a bit horribly wrong for a while.
No 15, couldn't see the alleyway coming off, so got tempted to turn around and check out the track that the 2 men in front had gone down.
Not counting 11 as a mistake - there was control 125 in the gully end under my circle for 126 that I came across first....it's France!!
Was nice running in the waves with the sun shining!!
