Orienteering 1:08:04 [3] 4.5 km (15:08 / km) +250m 11:50 / km
shoes: VJ Bold

After lots of ceilidhing last night and feeling tired, wimped out of the blue course and dropped down to the green. Wise decision!!
Not too much muppetry in evidence, but visibility was good and some controls could be seen from a fair way off. Thought I had done some hill running work, but obviously more needs to be done! Was tough!

Orienteering 49:31 [3] 4.7 km (10:32 / km)
shoes: Hoka Clifton 2

Edinburgh City Race.
Want to go back and have another look at The Exchange - I'm sure there must have been a better way to do those controls!!
Map printing wasn't brilliant, and once or twice I thought there was an underpass when there wasn't, but still enjoyed it.Glad not to have too many gratuitous controls in The Meadows at the end.
=12th, winner did 40, Fiona Forrest did 45.31. Can't complain - local knowledge would make a big difference!

Missing 4 & 5...

Orienteering race 38:02 [4] 3.9 km (9:45 / km)
shoes: Hoka Clifton 2

Fight With The Night - the prologue to the EUOC Big Weekend.
Decided to go for the long course option, seeing as we were going all the way seemed daft not to.
Enjoyed it, despite a few moments of muppetry.
Pleased to be less than double the time of the winner! Even snuck into the top 3/4 of the results list (if you include the mp's/retirals).
Earned my Prince Albert mojito!!

Run intervals 26:10 [5] 4.2 km (6:14 / km)
shoes: Hoka Clifton 2

Decided it was time to think about intervals. Not much time before taxi to tap was needed, so warm up, 1 min on, 1 off, steady home going clockwise from home so the efforts were all slightly downhill. Recovery too longer every time, but the efforts were pretty consistent, roughly 230m/150m.
Happy :)
