Friday Dec 7

Kayak 50:00 [2]6.4 km (7:49 / km)
(injured)
Borrowed Martin's swallow for a paddle from the club w Donna. Cruising nicely.

Thursday Dec 6

Note
(injured) (rest day)
Physio.
Prescription: rest ice and brutal massage. Advises to stay off the feet until (at least) next week, check bike set-up, and address muscle imbalances thru weights and stretching - so back to the gym for me huh...

Wednesday Dec 5

Note
PLAN: ~90min Road Bike (am) (maybe run after work?)
Gym 50:00 [3]
raining so i flagged the road bike and did a one-set rush thru knee work out...

Tuesday Dec 4

Note
PLAN: 1hr Yoga (am) >> ~45min Running @ Intervals (pm)
Yoga 1:00:00 [1]
nice
Road Bike 35:00 [3]
Commute from, Viaduct, Tank farm, Westhaven, Herne Bay, Coxs Bay... mostly in easy-ish gear but solid cadence. Felt good and made me feel a bit better about maybe having shin splints
Note
think i might have shin splints so i'm under self-imposed ban on running until i get them looked at or they clear up... am fully gutted about this. really fuking with head

Monday Dec 3

Note
PLAN: ~1hr O @ Summer Series

NOTE: The coming weeks are likely to be busy with IRL social engagements. There is a risk of skipping training due to hangovers all the way into 2008... which would be a waste of the progress i've made since September. SO, make a real effort (1) to train *before* parties if possible, and (2) force myself to train despite hangover/lack of sleep.
Orienteering (Summer Series) 1:02:18 [3]*** 11 km (5:40 / km)
shoes: Vasque Velocity
Waiatarua - feeling shitty, no grunt. And worse than that - I think I'm getting shin splints. Didn't have a bad time, but can't say I actually enjoyed myself today... that might be a first for me at orienteering :(
