Orienteering race 1:42:02 [5] **** 13.0 km (7:51 / km)

Auckland Long Distance Champs. Just the usual - ~25min down on the winner. Fukn frustrating. Didn't have the grunt required to run aggressively thru the trimmings for the whole race, but did my tidiest navigation effort for ages... (one big dumb error and a couple of small ones) happy to have orienteered well, but it hurts for this to have netted such a mediocre result. Underlines my Nationals failures... really really disappointing.

warm up

Orienteering race 45:37 [5] *** 4.5 km (10:08 / km)

Auckland Champs Middle - ballsed up the long leg pretty bad but sounds like i got off quite lightly compared to others... then lacked aggression on #8 and went way wide... put in few good legs too but pretty average performance overall. Better race than last time we were on this map though.

Note

need to schedule some training obligations (ie:other people) cos my mojo isn't high enough right now to get out there alone.

a bit late to train for Akl Champs, but still time to get some topo map mileage in before Rogaine Champs.
