Orienteering 40:00 [3]

Ontarios middle. Nice forest and terrain and enjoyable course. messed up #8 by two minutes (really confused). After that I felt like I was running in molasses.


Note

So cool to see how well the ARK/ARX gang did today. Several of them ran elite. Assuming Jan Erik's mp in the middle is fixed, ARX won both the men's and women's titles for the middle and sprint!

Sprint: Emma and Christian

The sprint results were especially good with Christian (1st), Jan Erik (4th) and Noah (7th). Not bad races in elite men's category for two 17 year olds and a 15 year old.

Several hours of field work at NObel. Black flies are out but they aren't biting....yet. Beautiful day but it is super dry up here. High fire danger rating. Could it be another fire ban before the May two four weekend again?

Fort MAC wildfire devastation is frightening. RH of 12%, winds 50kph, temp 30C. And this all happened on May 3rd.

my wildfire research crew heads out to AB today. Hoping what we learn can in a small way help reduce these disasters.

rail trail with Tarno. We saw a Storm the Trent sign at the 6km mark at Sulphur Springs Rd. we thought that was a bizarre place to see that.

light jogging here and there at ARK to see if knee neovisc injection worked. Nope.

still really tired and can't blame jet lag anymore.

Gula Stigen in some showers followed by some Loft Yoga at the Waddtage. Knee feeling pretty decent after two runs in two days. Encouraging.
