Corn maze race number one. Great fun! only Managed to lose contact once but took some poor route choices. super tough to
plan ahead. great turn out!!

Orienteering 25:00 [3]

Corn maze race number two at night. Super tough to run hard and stay in contact. this was probably the best maze yet and Meghan set challenging courses. started to rain during warmup so the wind and rain added to the epicness of the evening.

I owe Christian a pizza and if Noah had had a decent light I would have owed him one too.

I've never seen Mark Adams so confused as tonight but that was me two years ago on this.

this race is here to stay! thanks Meghan for organizing.

Night Advanced

Fun ARX practice last night. Celebrated the medals won at NorAms and Noah, hot off his sweep of 17-18, was challenged to go under 20 minutes for the exercise. I offered up a free pizza if he could. He thought it was just a slice and didn't. next challenge is head to head at the corn maze. We also started to think about fund raising for Nationals in Ottawa next year and Yukon in 2018. We got a great start with $2500 cash from a local business. Their (exclusivity) logo will be displayed on the new jerseys. We have an exciting fundraising plan for later this fall. But Yukon is so expensive to get to (more than Europe).

Another cool thing that happened yesterday was that an ARK Oakville athlete was featured in a photo shoot for Ivivva's new line of running clothing. Yup a great promo opp for ARK. Will we see this athlete at Nationals next year? She won ARK fest.

Core/Strength 20:00 [3]

** Ontario based athletes won 18 of the 36 junior Gold medals at the NorAm Champs on the weekend. 9 for DontGetLost, 8 for Ottawa, and 1 for UKR. We need to get the National Capital and Golden Horseshoe athletes together in the off season for some intense (yet fun) training camps!
