I had a few free hours during the conference so I hopped in the car to scratch an orienteering map off my bucket list.

It was quite icy but running up I felt strong. Just about got to the top when the exposure freaked me out and between fear of heights and the ice on the open rock I decided the orienteering would be too dangerous. So I ran back down. I will have to wait for another opportunity. Also squandered a chance to add this to my 50 Mission Cap.

Snowshoe run up a mountain before the conference in Van. Decided to do some off trail stuff near the top. I tripped up while doing that. didn’t realize until i got to the bottom that my phone fell out of my pocket when i tripped. had to go back up again. Found it. Faile.

More Whistler Olympic skiing awesomeness. Did some
easy green trails and the biathlon (channeling some Bjorn Ferry) and olympic course (but cut out the ski jump hill). amazing conditions. Sunny -1C. hard packed and rolled. #skibbatical

Whistler Olympic Park awesomeness. Got a wee bit too much speed on the first downhill of the Olympic course. There may have been tears. I was using shitty Rossi rental eqpt so I avoided black diamonds after that
