Cycling 1:30:00 [3]

rth east end: hanging flags, vetting and then watching race

Cycling 20:00 [3]

rth west end. following teams through game of thorns. Saw a massive man deer. had planned to bike down to golf course but got called to assist with the ‘situation’

Orienteering 50:00 [3]

CP pickup. CP1-7 and matrix. got cold and really banged up left knee.

Great to see RTH still kicking butt all these years. Great course. Awesome to see how much better teams are with nav almost 25 years after the first race (though this year was pretty straight forward). Nice to have a fast race now and then.

Fresh off some “talking to journalists media training” during a recent visit from Avis Favaro to my lab group I have done a bunch of interviews the last few days on changes to several of Ontario’s environmental policies. In short it sets ontario back a few decades environmentally. It also means to prepare for new housing developments in currently protected park land like the dundas valley.

Note
(rest day)

While teaching my field course this AM on west campus I saw a car with an orienteering flag hanging from rear view mirror. I love that orienteering is prominent in the Hammer.

Mobility 10:00 [3]
