14 years ago today we bought our land in Nobel. A good day.

Continuing the tradition of “swimming” in GBay in the month of May! Nobel Beach. not that chilly given how early spring was and how little ice formed in winter

Kneehab 10:00 [3]

left knee a little tender this morning. Didn’t wear the right shoes orienteering yesterday.
9 AM

Paddling 2:25:00 [3] 14.06 km (10:19 / km) +52m 10:08 / km
ahr:101 max:178

To Clear Lake “retreat”. Good pace (new record?) despite hauling in work gear including back-up battery packs, computer, chairs, table, bug tent and a few kg of Coke Zero. Portages were slow but Etoile was a paddling machine. To get a prospector canoe full of gear up to 9 km/h is pretty awesome. We were likely averaging just under 7km/h but <3km/h on portages.

This was supposed to be a five day retreat but i have to work this long weekend hosting fire scientists from Europe. Ok back to work.
