Part way with Lakemont BC. Legs feeling much better today but still not springy, but at least they feel like they are screwed on now. East lake.

At the Y. Two swims in a week, must be a new record for me. Used the flippers for a bit to stop the shoulder getting too sore, holding up well at the moment and no grief from it under normal motions.

Ball-bagged, can't get enough sleep and am waking up with no energy. I need a 10 hr sleep but don't know where to find one...result is a drive to work and most likely nothing at lunchtime except maybe a snooze.

Slept loads last night as I crashed at 8pm. Feeling really tired this morning so I must still be in sleep deficit.

Swim at the Y. First one in months since I hurt my shoulder in Hawaii in April. Felt quite nice really and a good change from being on my feet for days. No shoulder issues either.

Roger's house to my work, very easy pace and 1st time on the road bike in a month. Toe and ass still sore, esp. big toe. May be time to go to the doc.

Sunday Aug 5

Rested today after the MAR. Ass hurts like crazy and feet are tingling. Big tonail is black and oozing pus, yuk! Slept like a log last night and doing jack today. Tanya is feeding me some great food again after the bars and junk I ate throughout the race. (Not included in this statement is the food from the support crew which was great and tasted super!)

Not doing another race like this for a while but I was determined to finish this one at any cost to the body.

PQ may be at this location next year - you have been warned, it is hard...

Weight is low and my body fat reading nearly 20% so the machine must be confused since I am damn skinny and marginally ripped right now after the last few days.
