Road Bike (Commute) 1:00:00 [3]18.36 mi (3:16 / mi) +50m 2:01 / km
shoes: Pearl Izumi Vagabond
East lake to work. Getting cold and dark.
Rowing 19:30 [5]3.0 mi (6:29 / mi)
OMG, I haven't been on the rowing machine for a few years. Thought I would be in good enough shape to go straight back in with a 5K erg test. used to do this in 18mins back in the day. Took it handy to start with around the 2mins/500m mark. Gradually increased the pace but still only ended up at 19:30. Blistered my hands, bust my lungs for the 1st time in a long while and got a great sharp workout, you guys should try it sometime.
C • Yeah, right! 2
Road Bike (Commute) 1:00:00 [3]18.2 mi (3:17 / mi) +50m 2:02 / km
shoes: Pearl Izumi Vagabond
East lake home. Bit of a headwind but nice out.

Wednesday Sep 19

Trail Run 45:00 [3]3.0 mi (14:59 / mi) +520m 6:03 / km
shoes: Brooks Cascadia #1
Too windy to fly and out of East so ran up and down Poo-Poo pt. Legs felt really heavy and tired although I did run all the way up. No idea on time but prob 30 up 15 down.

Tuesday Sep 18

Racquetball 50:00 [4]
Against Bill V. I actually moved really quickly which was suprising after the weekend race. Felt fresh and good which I couldn't believe. I won 2-1 but lost a short game at the end too.
Hike 44:00 [3]1.5 mi (29:20 / mi) +490m 9:03 / km
weight:169lbs shoes: Brooks Cascadia #2
Hike up to Poo-Poo pt for some paragliding with the 45lb pack on. Actually felt OK although legs did feel heavy on the way up.

Kited around for 20mins in rain, no rain, rain, no rain etc then wind was wrong direction so headed down.
Trail Run 13:00 [3]1.5 mi (8:39 / mi)
shoes: Brooks Cascadia #2
Run down from Poo-Poo Pt without pack which was in the Shuttle bus. Actually felt pretty spritely on the run down, no probs at all.

rhr:42 slept:9.0 weight:168lbs (rest day)
Rest day post 24hr race. At work trying to stay awake without getting QWERTY printed all over my face...

Sunday Sep 16

Rogaine 10:00:00 [3]30.0 mi (20:00 / mi) +1200m 11:03 / km
shoes: Montrail Continental Divide#1
We were steady on speed and nailed a good number of controls early on, all in the dark. Had 2 big bushwhacks which we felt could threaten our chances later in Rogaine. Tricky bushwhack over ravine but we got through OK. We ended up winning overall pretty comfortably, we got 14 Rogaine controls, DART 10. Great result for the team.

Matt was really strong all round, he is def. the strongest on the team.
Kevin R - 1st 24 hr and 1st time we raced with him - he also had a strong race and he can be proud of it.
Julie - Did well and kept positive all through even though it was a toughie!
C • Congrats 6
