Just wanted to test out my knee after nearly 4 wks on the disabled list. Started skinning up Hyak at 6:30 and made 5 laps. 1st 2 were on my own. There was a semi skin track from the previous day. Actually quite glad it was groomed (albeit a couple days ago) as it meant an easy skin up. Snow was supprisingly stable (I know its Hyak but a lot has obviously fallen). Looking over to Catherine there were 3 natural slides in the clearcut what looked about 1 ft deep. Lots of slides visable from the I90 and what a snow bank at the side of the road. Even at exit 47 it was 8 ft high.

Got busy around 9:30 when the bootpackers and folk realizing they would have to hike for turns at the pass due to the power outage.

Great fun and so glad to be back on the snow again. Sun even came out briefly.

Bumped into MPHammer out there too.

My temperature was 102 when I got home, no wonder I was so short of breath and feeling like shit all morning.

Spin session. Concentrated on 30sec sprints for the most part with 15-30 sec recovery.
Gym warm up/down (Stretching for knee) 15:00 [0]
Did some figure 8's and crossovers before stretching. Turning to the left is the sore issue right now.

Spin at the Y on my own.
Gym (Knee PT exercises) 15:00 [1]
Crossover and figure 8 balance training for knee + some stretching.

Still hurts when twisting it or changing direction.

Quite a sore session at the PT today with a lot more sideways exercise including figure 8's round the cones. held up OK but still hurts if moved in the wrong direction.

Monday Jan 28

Spin on the new bikes at the Y. Felt fine although the sprints made me a bit tired. Knee held up fine on the standing up too.
