Rest Day today, need the legs to recoup after the hard week before the hike and fly record attempt.

Friday Jun 13

Road Bike (Commute) 1:13:00 [4]25.5 mi (2:52 / mi) +70m 1:46 / km
rhr:42 slept:3.0 weight:169lbs shoes: Pearl Izumi Vagabond
East Lake to work from KK with Lakemont CC. Pulled hard for 2 miles which I promised myself not to do.

Crap sleep last night, kept thinking I was about to land in the trees with the paraglider!
Road Bike (Commute) 57:00 [3]18.5 mi (3:05 / mi) +70m 1:54 / km
shoes: Pearl Izumi Vagabond
West Lake home. Bit of a headwind and legs really tired.
Hike 40:00 [1]2.0 mi (20:00 / mi) +500m 7:00 / km
Hike up Poo-Poo with the paraglider pack. I used Rich's Dudek Mountain wing and everest harness. The thing only weighs 7lb all in!!
Paragliding (Flight #46) 13:00 [0]
The Dudek Air Extreme Light wing takes off in a whisper of a wind - amazing. The skimpy thong of a harness I was wearing was pretty unnerving but launch was perfect. Hit a really nasty sink right off launch and looked bad for a while that I would not make it over the ridge. Went up again at 400ft/min. The ride was a bumpy rollercoaster with no reserve chute. The harness does not weight shift at all. Awful landing as I hit a big thermal on approach and got boosted up around 100ft. Landed way long just in the LZ.

I've got to fly this thing upwards of 13 times on Sunday for the hike and fly record. 5 am start and finish around 9pm up and down Poo-Poo. Its going to be a real slogfest.

Thursday Jun 12

Road Bike (Commute) 58:00 [3]18.5 mi (3:08 / mi) +50m 1:56 / km
shoes: Pearl Izumi Vagabond

Against Shawn S. I won 2-1 but he came close to an upset.
Road Bike (Commute) 55:00 [4]18.5 mi (2:58 / mi) +70m 1:50 / km
shoes: Pearl Izumi Vagabond
West Lake home, kept a good pace with a crosswind going.
Hike hills 50:00 [3]2.0 mi (24:59 / mi) +520m 8:36 / km
Hike up Poo-Poo with the paraglider pack with Rich.
Paragliding (Flight #45) 45:00 [0]
Great evening flight with the glass off from North launch. Got up above launch a few hundred feet and got great views of Mt Rainier. Fantastic evening to be flying. Buzzed around the trees scratching for lift for a good while afterwards before calling it a day. Great way to end the day!!

Wednesday Jun 11

Road Bike (Commute) 1:17:00 [3]25.7 mi (3:00 / mi) +70m 1:51 / km
shoes: Pearl Izumi Vagabond
East Lake to work with Lakemont CC. Paceline a bit "springy" today and I didn't pull the group.

Started to rain again at Red Hook - I've been wet more times this year than the previous 2 - Junuary 11th too..
Swim 25:00 [3]
Swim at the Y. Arms tired out pretty quickly.
Road Bike (Commute) 56:00 [3]18.5 mi (3:01 / mi) +70m 1:52 / km
shoes: Pearl Izumi Vagabond
West Lake home. Overtook a Broadmark team biker with plenty to spare and he never caught me over the next 10 miles - nice!

Tuesday Jun 10

Road Bike (Commute) 1:00:00 [3]18.5 mi (3:14 / mi) +50m 2:00 / km
shoes: Pearl Izumi Vagabond

Road Bike (Commute) 56:00 [3]18.5 mi (3:01 / mi) +70m 1:52 / km
shoes: Pearl Izumi Vagabond
West Lake home, dry unlike this morning.
Hike 1:00:00 [1]3.0 mi (20:00 / mi) +100m 11:16 / km
Walk around the "houses" in Issaquah with Lewis and Tanya.

Monday Jun 9

Road Bike (Commute) 1:09:00 [3]24.4 mi (2:48 / mi) +70m 1:44 / km
slept:6.0 weight:170lbs
East Lake to work from KK. Rode with lakemont CC with a nice paceline going for 1st 12 miles. Cool out and looking dicey wet for ride home.
Racquetball 1:00:00 [2]
Against Ron. I won 3-0. His string broke so had to play with a Y racquet - not ideal! Still, no mercy from me though.

Sunday Jun 8

Hike 1:00:00 [0]2.5 mi (24:00 / mi) +100m 13:16 / km
shoes: Montrail Continental Divide#1
Loop around Cougar with Lewis walking, hence logged as zero.
