Paragliding (Flight #71) 23:00 [0]
Dicey launch but got away with it. The wing is a DHV 2 so quite a bit more sporty than mine. Turns really sharp and handles great. Got up above launch for a good bit but headed home since I was cooking the BBQ for a bunch of folk.

My bro had his 1st 2 solo's on my wing and was happy as a pig in sh#t!!

Hike 2:30:00 [1]5.5 mi (27:16 / mi) +350m 14:09 / km
Beautiful hike at Sunrise, Mt Rainier. Amazing clarity on the mountain and could see 150 miles to Mt Baker. Hiked to Fremont lookout with Mum, Paul and Emma. Super day out with some glissading thrown in for good measure.

West Lake to work. Quads are sore from running down Granite Mtn yesterday and I had real trouble getting moving today - uber slow. Beautiful out though!

shoes: Pearl Izumi Vagabond
Short loop at lunch to stretch the legs. Seven hills of Bothell route. Hot out and I took it pretty handy.
Road Bike (Commute) 53:00 [4]18.5 mi (2:52 / mi) +70m 1:46 / km

West Lake home. Great tailwind in the hot weather.

Tuesday Jul 8

Hike 3:00:00 [3]8.0 mi (22:30 / mi) +1160m 9:38 / km

Hike up Granite Mountain with Paul. Beautiful views up there and we had a good pace going up and ran down. Got some glissading for a few hundred feet which was kind of fun.
Kayak 2:00:00 [3]4.0 mi (30:00 / mi)
Kayak with Mum, Paul and Emma from NWOC around arboretum. Sunnier than hell but really nice on the water.

Hike 1:00:00 [1]2.0 mi (29:59 / mi) +750m 8:37 / km
Hike up Poo-Poo with the paraglider. Parents, Paul and Emma came along. Can't believe my dad got up there and in pretty good time. He has arthritis and has been pretty much crippled since I was 4 so this was a real achievement.

I also ran back up to catch them when I'd flown down.
Paragliding (Flight #70) 6:00 [0]
Botched 3 attempts with some east wind. Forward launched finally and uneventul flight down. Must have been 50 people watching.
