Event: US Middle Distance and Relay Champs

Orienteering 46:16 [3]3.3 km (14:01 / km) +130m 11:43 / km
Letchworth State Park - ROC Middle Distance Championships - GreenX

Finished next to last, but for me I did OK. Besides my usual 2 min/km slowness:

Lost 3 minutes on #1because I left trail too soon, becoming discombobulated.
Lost 1 minute on #7 because I lost concentration & confidence crossing open terrain.
Lost 1 minute on #8 when I left trail too soon, again.
Lost 1 minute on #9 veering to the left away from open area & finish.

I need to get my left leg lengthened
Orienteering (Sprint) 17:46 [3]2 km (8:53 / km)
Letchworth State Park - ROC Sprint 2

My first sub 20 minute Sprint (my third sprint)

Lost 1.5 minutes on #5: veered to the left to avoid green lined area and lost track of what I was doing and ended up two hills away from control.
Lost 1.5 minutes on #6: veered to left again.
Lost 2 minutes on #8 thru #11 from fatigue.
