Mile race at Brockport. It was a really painful race. I am glad I put in a good effort. I ran the race exactly as I wanted to until the 7th out of 8 laps. I felt like I was doing a kick during the 6th lap to keep up the pace. I was seeded toward the back of my heat, so the back of the pack was a good target for me.

5 x (600m at 3k pace + 3x150m at LT pace with 50m jogs in between) with no additional recovery between sets. The 600s were supposed to be 1:52-1:54 and the 150s were supposed to be 31 seconds.

For the 600s I ran 1:54 1:55 1:55 2:05 2:01. I was really struggling on the third 600 which hurt me on the fourth. The 3x150 tempo 50 jog did not feel like recovery at all. My 150s started out right around 31 seconds but then got slower and slower as the workout progressed.

I guess that this workout had pretty much the same splits as the 3k race last Friday.

Progression sub-tempo run on the treadmill. I started at 8.5 mph and moved up .1 every 1:40 up to 10.5 mph at the end. We were supposed to run between 4 and 6 miles and stop before it felt like a real workout.

Long run with a group. I was struggling to keep up towards the end. I did my run yesterday in the evening and this run was at 9am. I am still having some stomach issues, and I did not eat enough yesterday.
