Sunday Apr 27

Event: QOC Rosaryville

orienteering race 2:24:00 [3]
Another disaster day ;-). On Red I run directly to #1 and that was silly to go trough deep gully instead of easy going around. Then I got misled on #5 and punch it without checking code or description. After that I got lost (no wonder if I punched wrong control) on#6, did #7 and when I was punching #8 I realized I was already there punched as a #5. OK, my mistake. I wanted to finish but I was looking for #9 too long and after punching #10 I decided to walk to start. On the way home I just punched controls 16,17,19, got into car just to hear my daughter whine for some new blue dress she saw on Nicole. Fortunately she fell soon asleep. Hope next time it will be more dry or at least a little bit warmer. Just little.
C • Hard Day 2

Friday Apr 25

roller skating 1:00:00 [1]
I just tried to go with my colleague, but it was too slow to call that a training. But we are not expert in rollerskating, just need more practice!

Thursday Apr 24

Note
Jan and Alex are back, but I will try to continue with my running, I need to make it more regular. Let's see!

Wednesday Apr 23

running race 57:50 [5] 10 km (5:47 / km) +142m 5:24 / km vdot: 33.7
shoes: GT
NASA fun run - 10 km around Greenbelt lake (almost 5x rounds). Since I'm completely out of shape I was very happy with my result. I really didn't want to go over 1hour. I didn't stop and even sprint to the finish (last 50m ;-)). I may be third. Good weather, warm but not so hot so I skipped drinks every round. Didn't stop, but that was hard because after third round girl in front of me start to walk. But I fought hard and that is why I got medal. Hurray!

Sunday Apr 20

Event: QOC Fountainhead

O-training 2:55 [4]
shoes: orient w/spikes
Today I went blue course. It was wet, ... and long -actually not to much according to course setter, but I can always make it longer. And did i mentioned wet? Anyway, I had plenty of time, nobody waiting so why not. Couldn't find #8, that was first serious error and then it was all disaster. But where you can get such adventure for $6? Half blind (thanks to glasses when it is constantly pouring), mud slides on almost every hill (and there is a lot of hills ;-)) and my ability to do plenty of small or big errors. Result is almost 3h long fun. Unfortunately traffic on the way home was so slow, that wasn't fun at all.
