| Long run on the moor, some terrain, some paths. Got a fly in my eye then swallowed one within the 1st 20mins. Could have done with swallowing a couple at the end as needed the energy. Felt really strong at the start then a bit tired for the last 30 mins. Should have done something technical today but didnt have the brainpower left. |

| Terrain intervals on ilkley moor. Had one of those days where you think you're running fast but the hrm says otherwise. Found it difficult to motivate myself due to the lack of company and the force 10 headwind. Turned out to be more like foxdals than full out dying-at-the-end intervals. |

| Warm up and warm down in Meanwood, Adel Woods and beyond. Found the right way to go today, ran through some sweet woodland and out into the proper countryside. |
 | running tempo 20:00 [4] | |

| Dunno if it was a strictly defined tempo run but pushed it and ran at an uncomfortable pace. |

| Down the canal through Gotts park at lunch time. |

| Cycle to Meanwood and back again after run so i didnt have to run on roads at all. Dunno why this counts as training whilst my 20mins cycling to and from uni every day doesnt. Illogical logic. |
 | running 1:01:00 [3] | |

| Through Meanwood-Adel Woods then got into a bit i'd never been in before. Was trying to find my way out to Ecup reservoir but as i didnt have a map and the wood i was running through seemed to bear no relation to the bit id tried to memorise on the 1:50000 OS map i just had an explore. Nearly stood on a grey squirrel. |

 | orienteering race 18:00 [5] | |

| Aire evening sprint race at Meanwood Park. Nice 3km course nearly all in the forest. Ive run through Meanwood quite a few times but never orienteered there and was surprised none of the controls went missing. Well planned course with lots of changes of direction and intricate navigation. Was running aggressively and in control and only time loss was when i hit the uncrossable (possibly bottomless) stream further downstream than the bridge i was aiming for and had to back-track loosing about 30 secs. Was sometimes difficult to read the 1:10 000 map in the pouring rain/darkness of the wood. Very enjoyable. |

| Cruised around the 'long' course (4km) at Meanwood. It went into some of the grottier areas which the sprint race avoided. |

 | running 30:00 [3] | |

| Pre breakfast run from burley down the canal, over the bridge into Gotts park, loop around park, back down canal. Very nice and peaceful. Had a cold shower when got back (not out of choice), hardcore. |
 | running 55:00 [5] | |

| Pudsey+Bramley intervals from Priesthorpe school around various footpaths+bridleways. 2mins on 2mins off repeat 9/10 times. Probably too long recoverys but i dont care cos it was great fun racing head-to-head along off road paths through woods, across fields etc. Felt great on the 1st 2 intervals and was floating along feeling like i could keep it up forever. Had to dig deep on the last 3 but with all the competition its easy to get the aggression up. Nice bunch of guys too. |

| Ilkley Moor: Medium Length run: burley woodhead-trig point-thimble stones-buckstones-forest-swastika stone-badger stone-burley woodhead. Lots of stones. Felt quite good. Ran in the terrain cos: 1. its good for you, 2. my integrators have lost what little cushioning they ever had. The weather obeyed the 1st law of Ilkley moor: if it can rain, it will rain. Turned out nice though. |
