Tankersley Badge event. Technically a pretty decent run. Clean through most of them but missed 3 and visited the depression to the north. Couple of small errors after that but nothing too much. Was surprised other people werent much faster as didnt feel i was moving well. Since my o shoes fell apart after the O trial i was running in brand new ones which dug viciously into the back of my heel causing much pain and copious bloodshed. Consequently i was running a bit funny and it slowed me down a bit but didnt affect my navigation. I particulary enjoyed the new map, defo the best map ive run on since WMOC in Austria last year. I also enjoyed Randyslacks comment of "come on big lad" when i saw him in the forest and his subsequent attempts to engage me in conversation whilst were still borienteering.

Similar route to last night but went down a few new footpaths as well. Was proper knackered, not physically tired but just really sleepy and wiped out. To race or not to race tommorrow, that is the question...

Steady down the canal, up through the woods, onto Midgley Moor, Crow Hill, funny olde lanes, came back through Luddenden village for a change. Had the idea i might do a bit longer but i was tired and couldnt be bothered.

60 x 30 x 16. Up the hill behind the house. Did 7 reps till i reached the top of the hill, then had to have a long (approx 4mins) recovery all the way back down the bottom. After the 2nd long recovery i struggled to get going again, got the hiccups and my thighs were chaffing most painfully so i called it a night on 16 reps (had planned 20). Felt pretty rough cycling back from the station today so pleased i got the 16 done.

Up on t'moor again. Felt good. Bloody public transport, it really is the biggest waste of time. Why cant trains ever be uncrowded, the woman next to me nearly fainted today. It doesnt take a genius to work out that if a route is busy one day it probably will be the next day so put some more carriages on. morons.

4.00 x 1.30 rec x 5. Yey a day off cos of trainlines flooding. Tried out a new running route down the cycle path which is usually quite deserted. Should be good for building up some flat speed. Legs felt heavy to start but responded well and before i knew it i was the other side of Hebden Bridge. Suffering from some really sore inner thigh chaffage from the weekend, dunno why.

Thought about going for a cycle or a recovery run but it was raining so hard all day and there was water everywhere so i decided against it.
